Your family may inherit your assets.
That does not mean they can access them.

Crypto ownership is absolute. If no one knows your wallets exist, where your access information is stored, or what you intended to leave behind, the value you built can become permanently inaccessible.

A legal will can name an heir. It cannot safely give them the knowledge, context or technical path needed to access self-custodied digital assets.

2.3M–4MBTC

Estimated to be permanently lost

Estimates vary by methodology. Roughly 11–18% of Bitcoin's 21M supply is believed to be permanently inaccessible.

708M+

Global crypto owners

Crypto.com reported 708M global cryptocurrency owners in H1 2025; full-year estimates are around 741M.

18–32%

Of crypto investors have explicit inheritance arrangements

Research varies between having any instructions and formally including crypto in estate planning.

Prepare the plan.
Keep control.
Leave a clear path.

InheritChain is being designed to help crypto holders prepare a private digital legacy plan that non-technical beneficiaries can actually use.

01 / Prepare

Define what you want to leave

Connect your wallet, choose who should receive what, and add private documents, instructions or personal messages.

02 / Stay in control

Your assets remain yours

InheritChain is being designed to minimise custody and keep you in control of your assets.

03 / Guide the claim

Make the next step human

When the time comes, beneficiaries receive a clear, guided path to understand what was left to them and what to do next — without needing to understand blockchain.

Built for a moment
that should not feel technical.

Digital inheritance sits at the intersection of family, money, grief and technology. Every part of InheritChain is being designed to reduce uncertainty, preserve privacy and keep people in control.

Non-custodial by design

The goal is simple: you should not have to give up ownership of your assets to prepare for the future.

Private by default

Sensitive plan details, personal information and beneficiary rights should not become public simply because they need to be verified.

Human-first UX

The person receiving your legacy may be grieving, may not know what a wallet is, and should never need to guess what to do next.

Open to verification

The protocol is intended to be open source, independently reviewed before real-asset use, and transparent about its technical and legal limits.

This is not a product
to build in isolation.

InheritChain is currently in research and MVP design. We are speaking with crypto holders, potential beneficiaries and people who have experienced the difficulty of planning for digital assets.

Join the waitlist to follow the build, receive early access when testing begins, and help shape a legacy experience that works in real life — not only on paper.
